This is a personal favourite of ours and somewhere we visit regularly, both for the great service and the traditional countryside pub atmosphere, but most of all, the out of this world food!
It's a little walk from the Grand Union, but it's definitely a walk worth taking with some beautiful views of the Chilterns along the way. And once you get here, you won't be disappointed.
Offering a delicious range of lite bites, traditional mains and some amazing specials, food is served daily from 12 noon through to the evening. There is so much to enjoy on this menu, with my own favourite being the duck, followed by the chocolate brownie.
How to get here: Moor up near bridge 135 and head north along Station Road (it takes about 25 minutes to get to Aldbury). Alternatively, jump in a taxi at Tring Train station which is just a 2 minute walk from the same bridge.
